College of Commissioner Service - 2025

PRIOR TO REGISTERING FOR THE 2025 COLLEGE OF COMMISSIONER SERVICE DOWNLOAD THE COURSE DESCRIPTIONS AND SELECT THE CLASSES YOU ARE INTENDING TO TAKE FOR EACH PERIOD!!!    

If you are seeking a degree, please see the degree requirement attachment prior to registering for classes.  Only 7 classes are required for BCS and MCS degrees (see the attachment for more specific requirements).  CED925 Period 4 counts as 1 of the classes required for BCS/MCS.

There are two sessions for the college, an in-person session on Saturday, March 8, 2025 and an online virtual session on Sunday, March 9, 2025.  Students and staff need to register for the two sessions separately.

All tracks will be offered.  In addition to offering degree tracks for Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate, there will be Continuing Education classes and Networking/Open Forum Discussions. 

  • Saturday's March 8 college has seven in-person class periods at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1301 Collingwood Ave, Alexandria, VA. Cost: $40 thru March 2nd, $55 starting March 3rd. Snacks for breakfast and afternoon/lunch/certificate/patch all included!
    • Students should print and bring their class schedule 
  • Sunday's March 9 college has four classes, all online. Cost: $15 (e-certificate and patch included)

Each day’s fees are separate, paid staff on Saturday have no fee on Sunday.

Participants will be sent a Basecamp link to download handouts.

Everyone is invited to attend, especially those who are not commissioners who would like to learn more about Commissioner Service. Come hear our keynote speaker on Saturday, Karen Bengston, the Unit Service Support Group Chair on the National Commissioner Service Team (a key leader in the recent changes to commissioner service). Learn what’s new in Scouting, Commissioner Service, and more. Get a really cool patch.
