(For Scoutmasters/ Assistant Scoutmasters and any interested adult who is 18 or older)

Seneca will NOT accept payments at the Marriott Scout Service Center

Park in Church Parking lot off of Walker Ave., otherwise park on street or lot across from Walker Ave entrance of church.  DO NOT Park in shopping center lot – you will be towed. Enter church from church parking lot entrance/court yard.

Who takes training? This course is intended for Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, and interested Committee members and parents of Troop members. It is designed to further your scouting interests and to help enhance your job performance though the use of the Patrol Method.

Montgomery Service Area offers IOLS  
You must register for IOLS separately.
(You can take IOLS before you take this course.)
- October 26-27, 2019 (White Oak)
- May 2-3, 2020 (White Oak)
- May 6 and 15-16, 2020 (Seneca)
- October 24-25, 2020 (White Oak)
Other IOLS opportunities are offered through other districts in NCAC.

What to bring: 
- Boy Scout Handbook,
- Troop Leader Guidebook Vol. 1,
- Lunch (there is no time to go out for lunch),
- Questions.

Important: To receive credit for the course and a training card, you must complete all prerequisites prior to the class.

To get training, log in to my.scouting.org, click My Dashboard, then click Training Center
- Weather Hazards (SCO_800) (Found by going into the Learning Center, select Course Catalog near the top, down to Expanded Learning, find Program Safety, select Program Safety, then you can find Weather Hazards.)

Suggested Courses to complete before coming: (online classes are found at: my.scouting.org)
- Safe Swim Defense (SCO_801)
- Safety Afloat (SCO_802)
(Found by going into the Learning Center, select Course Catalog near the top, down to Expanded Learning, find Program Safety, select Program Safety, then you can find the classes.)

Please gather your training dates before you start the registration process.  It will make the registration easier.  If you have already taken Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS), please provide the date.

Online registration requires the following information:

- Position to be Trained for

This is a uniformed event, if you have one wear it.
