Theme: America 250 – Building the Revolution

Celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence with a weekend of Scouting skills, teamwork, and Revolutionary-era activities at historic Gunston Hall!

Planned Highlights

Siege Pioneering – Put your troop’s lashings, engineering, and teamwork to the test by constructing a pioneering gateway.

Bannock to Baguettes Bake-Off – Demonstrate your outdoor cooking skills in a Revolutionary-era-inspired baking challenge.

Arrow of Light Activities – Explore themed stations, including Meet the Continental Army, Establish the Encampment, and Aid Station.

Scouting Skills and Fellowship – Build practical outdoor skills and connect with fellow Scouts in a historic setting.

Arrow of Light Participation

AOL Scouts may attend for the day on Saturday, October 17, using the day-pass option, or camp Friday and Saturday nights.

Under the Guide to Safe Scouting, Arrow of Light Scouts may participate during the day and/or overnight in one of two ways:

1. With their Arrow of Light Den/Patrol: Attend under two-deep leadership from their Arrow of Light den/patrol or pack. Parents or legal guardians may attend with their child alongside that leadership, or serve as part of the two-deep leadership if registered with the pack.
    
2. As an Individual Scout: Attend with their parent or legal guardian.
