2017 Pinewood Derby

Eligibility: THE FASTEST CAR (ONLY) FROM EACH DEN IN YOUR PACK (TIGERS, WOLVES, BEARS, WEBELOS I & WEB II) are eligible to participate in the Speed category.  In addition, each PACK can send ONE car to participate in the Appearance category, which will also “race” against other cars in the Appearance Category.

Awards:

1st, 2nd & 3rd  place (each Den) in the Speed category
1st, 2nd & 3rd place Overall in the Speed category
Appearance category—Best In Show, Judge’s Favorite, Most Unusual, Most Humorous & Most Colorful--and

1st, 2nd & 3rd place in Speedy Appearance

Rules: All cars (Speed & Appearance) must meet the 2017 Potomac District PWD Rules. These are the same rules as 2016 with a couple of clarifications. Racing will be in accordance with the 2017 Potomac District PWD Rules.

Each PACK must have at least one parent volunteer who will help with the running of the event on race day.  This adult volunteer will be contacted a few weeks before the event with opportunities to help on the day of the event.

Attendance: Parents, sponsoring adults, leaders, friends, guests, and others are welcome on race day.

PLACE:            - Our Lady of Mercy School, 9222 Kentsdale Drive, Potomac MD 20854

TIME:               - Registration & Inspection between 9 – 9:50 AM (please arrive early)

- Racing begins at 10:00 AM and will finish between noon & 1 PM

COST:              - Registration fee is $35.00 per pack (covers 6 pack entries)
