Old North State Council Merit Badge College 1 Hosted by the Akela and Uwharrie Districts
The Akela and Uwharrie Districts are proud to host Old North State Council Merit Badge College 1.
Check-in starts at 8:15am with the morning session starting at 9am through 12pm. A pizza lunch will from Domino's be provided from 12-1pm and the afternoon session runs from 1-4pm. Some merit badges classes may require both sessions to complete, some may have prerequisites that need to be completed before hand and some have additional class fees for class materials.

Cost is $15 with lunch included, (Out-of-Council is $20). Please note any special dietary requirements in the notes field of the registration process.
Blue Cards - For this event we do not issue Blue Cards, each unit leader will receive a Black Pug import file to load into Scoutbook or Troopmaster the completed requirements for each participant. A user guide to how to import Black Pug into Scoutbook is avaiable in the documents section of this even.
Leader Training - We are offering leader specific training, training will take the full day but leaders will be certified and complete the following training courses. :
Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Training* (Health Building 204)
Committee Member Training (WS10)
Committee Chair Training (WS10)
Merit Badge Counselor Training (D76)>br /> *Prerequisites are required
Venturing Officers Association (VOA) training.(Health Building 205)
The VOA Training is YOUTH Venturing Training – Specifically introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews This training is for Venturing crew participants.
