Welcome to INVENTION CONVENTION! Are you ready to be a Junior Scientist and Inventor? Put on your lab coat and join us for a full day of STEAM activities and challenges at Cub Fun Day - Invention Convention. Challenge your friends to design the best boat, make sound waves by building a musical instrument, construct a Rube Goldberg machine, make ice cream in a bag, decipher secret messages, and much, much more!

All the fun is coming your way:

When: Saturday, June 7, 9 am-4 pm (8:30 check-in, flags and intro starts at 9 am)

Where: Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1709 W Elizabeth St, Fort Collins, CO 80521

Who: Scouts and friends.  Kids going into grades K-5.  

All Lions (rising Kindergarten) and Tigers (rising 1st grade) aged kids should plan to attend with an adult partner for the full day.  If there is more than one youth in kindergarten or 1st grade, there needs to be additional adults.

All Wolves (rising 2nd grade) through AOLs (rising 5th grade) must have 1-4 adults to volunteer for the day to help with the stations and to help with being a walk-around leader with the groups going from station to station.

Not attending with a den?  Bring your parent and have some fun with us!

Cost: $30, covers materials, snacks, and event patch

Bring:

All participants, youth and adults, need to bring a completed health form A/B

Water bottle.

Sack lunch.

Close-toed shoes.

Dress for the weather - a scout is prepared!

For rain, we will host activities inside or under canopies.  

Blanket or towel for lunch-time seating

Sunscreen

How can you help?  This event is entirely volunteer-led and run.  The number of adult volunteers is based on the number of youth registrations.  We would also like Scouts BSA youth members to volunteer as assistants.

For June 7, Bighorn District at Westminster Presbyterian: If you are attending as part of a group and have adults to spare or an older scout (13+ who needs service hours) that would love to host a station, please email us.

PS, we also need some easy-up canopies, tables, and chairs for the day.
