Scouts … Start Your Engines!

Put your car to the test against the rest of the Wapiti District May 3rd at Boulder County Fairgrounds in Barn A (Boulder County Fairgrounds 9595 Nelson Rd, Longmont, CO 80501) for the 2025 Pinewood Derby. The top 3 finishers from each Pack’s rank races (i.e. Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Bears, etc.) are welcome to race for trophies, glory and just plain good old fashioned FUN!

Wapiti District is hosting the event in conjunction with Spring Camporee. There is a $6 entry fee for each car (maximum of 24 cars per Pack). Top three places from each rank will receive a trophy. Top two places for overall district champion will receive trophies. We will also run an Open, where adults, siblings and any interested party is welcome to compete for the thrill of racing.

Each pack is asked to provide a volunteer. We will likely need 5-6 people for car check-in. An event host would be awesome (someone to get the scouts to tell jokes between races). This would not have to be the same person all day.

You must register by Sunday April 27th to allow the volunteers time to set up the computer software.

Check-In on Friday May 2nd: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Barn A 

Event is May 3rd:

Races beginning at 9 AM. Races will start with Lions and proceed through each rank until we are done.

Trophies will be presented as each rank finishes. You may take your car home as the races finish. Winning cars should stay for the finals.

Parking: Use the parking lot at the south end of the fair grounds. Or behind Barn A.
