Cub Fun Days - Greeley - Hosted by Golden Plains District

Event Details

It’s On!  Get ready for a blast at our Cub Fun Day! Imagine a day filled with cool games and wild outdoor adventures. Are you brave enough to face the Brain Freeze Challenge? Can you and some friends work together for a top score? There’s even a wild obstacle course to test your speed and smarts. It is going to be a day packed with fun, laughter, and lots of teamwork. We can not wait to see you there!

All the fun is coming your way:
When: Saturday, August 3, 9 am-4 pm (8:30 check-in, flags and intro starts at 9 am)

Where: Island Grove Park Saddle Club (899 N. 11th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80631)

Who: Scouts and friends.  Kids going into grades K-5.

All Lions (rising Kindergarten) and Tigers (rising 1st grade) aged kids should plan to attend with a parent/guardian for the full day.  If there is more than one youth in kindergarten or 1st grade, there needs to be additional adults.

All Wolves (rising 2nd grade) through AOLs (rising 5th grade) must have 1-4 adults to volunteer for the day to help with the stations and to help with being a walk around leader with the groups going from station to station.

Not attending with other scouts?  Bring your parent and have some fun with us!

Cost: $30, covers materials and snacks available during lunch time (fruit, popsicles, water)
Optionally, you can add a T-shirt for $15.  Need financial assistance?  We have a limited amount, please email goldenplains.activities@gmail.com.

Bring:

  • All participants, youth and adults, need to bring a completed medical health form A/B
  • Water bottle.
  • Sack lunch.
  • Close-toed shoes.
  • Dress for the weather - a scout is prepared!
  • For rain, we will host activities inside or under canopies.
  • Blanket or towel for lunch-time seating
  • Towel - hint: there are a few activities involving water.
  • Sunscreen

How can you help?  This event is entirely volunteer-led and run.  The number of adult volunteers is based upon the number of youth registrations.  We would also like Scouts BSA youth members volunteer as assistants.

PS, we also need some easy-up canopies, tables, and chairs for the day.  You can also tell us if you are bringing those items in the comments when signing up or on the volunteer form (coming soon).
