Scouts … Start Your Engines!

Put your car to the test against the rest of the Wapiti District May 6 at Boulder County Fairgrounds ( Boulder County Fairgrounds 9595 Nelson Rd, Longmont, CO 80501) for the 2023 Pinewood Derby. The top 3 finishers from each Pack’s rank races (i.e. Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Bears, etc.) are welcome to race for trophies, glory and just plain good old fashioned FUN!

Wapiti district is hosting the event in conjunction with Spring Camporee. There is a $5 entry fee for each car (maximum of 24 cars per Pack). Top three placers from each rank will receive prizes. Top three places for overall district champion will receive trophies. We will also run an Open, where adults, siblings and any interest party is welcome to compete for the thrill of racing.

If the weather is good, this is planned to be held outside. I'm working on plan in case of rain.

Each pack is asked to provide a volunteer. We will likely need 5-6 people for car checkin. An event host would be awesome (someone to get the scouts to tell jokes between races). This would not have to be the same person all day.

Pack 341 has graciously volunteered to run the race with their track.

Event is May 6:

You must register by April 29th to allow the volunteers time to set up the computer software.

9-11 a.m. Check-in

Races beginning at noon.

Parking: Use the parking lot at the south end of the fair grounds.
