Join us for an exciting day of racing at the Golden Plains District Pinewood Derby on April 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Cub Scouts from across the district will bring their handcrafted wooden cars to compete on our gravity-powered track in a fun, familyfriendly atmosphere.

Scouts will check in their cars, complete weighins, and race in multiple heats throughout the day. The event highlights creativity, craftsmanship, and good sportsmanship, with opportunities for awards in speed, design, and other special categories.

This District tradition brings families together to cheer, celebrate, and support their Scouts as they showcase their hard work and imagination. All Pack parents, families, and supporters are encouraged to attend and enjoy a full day of racing, teamwork, and fun.

Races will feature the top four cars in each rank from Packs within the Golden Plains District. Racing starts at 11:00 am.
Check in for cars starts at 10:00 am. Each pack will need to have a representative responsible for checking in their pack’s cars.

Registration is $5 per car.
Registration will close Saturday, April 4th.

Check-in from 10:00am - 11:00am

• Cars must meet all Cub Scout regulations to race.  The regulations are posted above.  Check in will include weighing on a calibrated scale.  Please keep in mind the car’s weight may have changed over time.
• If you are not attending with your car, please BE SURE your car meets all rules and necessary criteria in order to race OR provide written consent to make necessary adjustments to the car. Cars which do not meet regulations and do not have written consent provided to adjust the vehicle will be disqualified from racing!
