Range Challenge

This is a council-wide event in which you will get to camp out in beautiful northern Colorado and spend the day testing your skills at Range and Target Sports. A banquet will be held Saturday night where we will recognize our top participants.

All scouts may participate in Shotgun, .22 Rifle, Archery, Tomahawks, and more. There will also be a special Conservation Project. Cowboy Action is available to scouts that have completed 8th grade or are 14 years of age or older at the time of the event. A permission form must be filled out by the scout and parent or guardian and brought to the event and presented to staff before a scout is allowed to participate in Cowboy Action.

An alternate event will be available for Scouts not participating in Cowboy Action.

Venturers/Explorer scouts may participate in all events.

Full challenge (youth): $60. Includes competition participation, equipment use, camping sites, Friday night cracker barrel and Saturday night dinner. Participants limited to 64. Please register early to guarantee a spot.

Camping only (youth and adult): $35. Includes campsite, Friday night cracker barrel and Saturday night dinner.
