Fall Wood Badge 2026

2026 Fall Wood Badge Course
Continue your Scouting leadership journey by joining us for the Fall 2026 Wood Badge Course at McNeil Scout Ranch. Delivered in a two-weekend format, this course provides an engaging and meaningful leadership experience designed to strengthen your ability to serve youth, support fellow volunteers, and lead with confidence.
The course will be conducted over two weekends:
Weekend 1: August 28–30, 2026
Weekend 2: September 12–13, 2026
Wood Badge is Scouting’s premier leadership development program for adults. Through interactive learning, team-building experiences, and practical leadership application, participants gain valuable tools that can immediately enhance their effectiveness within packs, troops, crews, districts, councils, and even in professional and community settings.
Rather than focusing on outdoor skills, Wood Badge centers on leadership growth—strengthening communication, building high-performing teams, managing change, and creating a shared vision. The course combines Scouting traditions with modern leadership principles in a way that is energetic, collaborative, and impactful.
Originally conceived by Lord Baden-Powell and refined for today’s Scouting movement, Wood Badge continues to inspire leaders to grow personally while strengthening the Scouting program for future generations.
Participants are expected to complete pre-course assignments prior to the first weekend, and attendance at both weekends is required to complete the course successfully.
Early bird registration is available for $350.00 through July 14, 2026. Registrations submitted after that date will increase to the standard course fee of $375.00.
Invest in yourself, connect with fellow Scouters, and return to your unit energized with new leadership skills, lasting friendships, and a renewed commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for youth.
