University of Scouting
Event Details

University of Scouting is a one-day training event for Scout leaders, parents, and older youth who want to sharpen their skills, learn new ideas, and connect with other Scouters.
What to Expect
- Choose Your Own Classes: Pick from dozens of 50-minute sessions designed to match your interests and needs.
- Something for Everyone: Topics cover Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, Order of the Arrow, outdoor skills, advancement, program planning, leadership, and more.
- College-Style Format: Classes are organized into “colleges,” each focusing on a specific area of Scouting, with instructors who bring real-world experience and passion.
- Networking & Inspiration: Meet fellow Scouters, share ideas, and recharge your enthusiasm for delivering the best program possible.
Who Should Come
- New parents looking to learn the basics.
- Experienced leaders seeking advanced tips and strategies.
- Older youth ready to strengthen their leadership skills.
Event Highlights
- Event Patch Included – All participants who register by October 10th will receive the official University of Scouting event patch.
- Degree Paths & Recognition – Work toward University of Scouting “degrees” by attending classes across different years. Each degree level comes with its own patch to recognize your progress. (Degree requirements are posted at https://uoscolorado.org/degree-program.)
- Lunch Provided for Early Registrants – For those who register before the catering cutoff date in November (exact date to be announced), we’ll provide a catered lunch.
- Please note: We are not able to accommodate allergies, dietary restrictions, or special food requests. We will not have access to the school's kitchen, so customized meals are not possible.
- If you have specific food needs, please plan to bring a meal that works best for you. Thanks for your understanding.
