American River District 2023 Klondike Derby

 

Are you ready for a beach themed Klondike?

Join us for an eventful weekend.

Where the snow meets the sand! 

 

                                                              

January 20 - 22, 2023

 Location:  Iron Mountain Sno-Park

 

Directions: 

From eastbound Hwy 50 take Latrobe Rd (El Dorado Hills) toward Hwy 16. At Old Sacramento Rd, turn left towards Plymouth, Ca. Continue through the town which then becomes Main St. Continue straight from Main St onto eastbound Shenandoah Rd at Hwy 49. Continue to the east and then take a right turn onto Fiddletown Rd. Follow Fiddletown Rd and then take a left onto Shake Ridge Rd. Follow Shake Ridge Rd until you come upon Hwy 88. Take a left onto Hwy 88 to the northeast. Follow Highway 88 to Iron Mountain Sno-Park.

 

Who?:

This wonderful wonderland of fun and competition is for ALL BSA Scouts, Varsity Scouts, Venture, Sea Scout Crews and Adult Leaders. Units both inside and outside of the American River are invited to participate!

Fees?:

$20 per Scout and Adult

Staff $12 before January 13.

Fees after closing are transferable within the unit but are NOT refundable. All registrations must be completed on line and payments made either online or at the council office. Please bring payment confirmation with you to be shown at check-in.

Every vehicle will need a Day pass for each day they are there: You will need to buy a Day Permit pass for 3 days cost is $15 + tax (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Make sure to print Day pass at home before event. Link HERE 

Personal Health and Medical Records:

To ensure the health and safety of everyone, all Scouts and leaders participating must have a current and completed Boy Scouts of America Health and Medical Record Form A and B. All documents needed will be attached on the right hand side. 

Units are responsible for each Scout's medical forms and must have the forms available upon request.

 

 

All Scouts will be competing by patrols in a number of cold-weather, themed events. Come bring your Scouts to this unforgettable event!

 

Registration Closes January 13 at 11:59pm

*No late registations will be accepted

 

 

This is a cold weather event and it is strongly recommended every unit have a minimum of 2 OKPIK trained adults.

 

Before attending please make sure to look and go over carefully all the documents attached.
