Learn how to communicate effectively in all situations whether it be a school presentation or future job interview, participate in mock interviews, prepare a speech, and learn about different types of careers in Communication. Public speaking fears conquered here! During this week of class, focus on requirement 5 and 8 as they do require advance planning before this class starts. Req 5 requires Scout to attend an official public meeting such as city council or school board and write a report on the issues at hand. Requirement 8 requires Scouts to plan a court of honor, campfire program, or interfaith worship service and provide proof of this event with your members of your Troop. These two requirements can be done virtually as well in consideration of Covid and safety.

These sessions run Mon - Fri from 3:00pm to 5:00pm during Newport Sea Base Summer Camp.

Week 2: 6/16-6/20
