In this BEGINNER sailing class, you will use your seamanship skills on our fleet of 30 ft. keel boats. You will learn to navigate Newport Harbor, utilize different sets of sails and lazy jacks, anchor for an afternoon swim, and master the physics that allow winches to handle lines under heavy loads. Sailors will hone these skills both inside Newport Harbor and along the coast in the open ocean.

PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of Sailing 2 class or equivalent.

This session runs from 1:00pm to 4:30pm Saturday, March 8th, 15th, 22nd, & 29th.

Please remember to check the attachments for additional details before your class begins. BSA medical form AB is required and must be turned in at check-in.

**Participant must be able to attend all 4 classes.**
