Get outdoors with confidence! BALOO is the required outdoor training for Cub Scout leaders who want to plan and lead safe, fun overnight camping experiences for their Pack. This hands-on course provides the skills and knowledge needed to organize and conduct successful Cub Scout outdoor activities while following Scouting America guidelines.

During BALOO you will learn:

• Camp planning and preparation
• Campsite selection and setup
• Outdoor cooking and meal planning
• Health, safety, and risk management
• Campfire programs and outdoor activities
• Hiking, games, and Cub Scout outdoor skills
• Equipment selection and packing essentials

Who should attend?
Cubmasters, Den Leaders, Committee Members, and any registered adult who plans to participate in Cub Scout overnight outdoor activities. Scouting America requires at least one BALOO-trained adult to be present at Cub Scout overnight camping events.

Prerequisite:
Complete the online BALOO training and required online safety modules before attending the in-person outdoor session.
