2018 Mining in Society Merit Badge - Tucson

Event Details

The Catalina Council & Grand Canyon Council in conjunction with Freeport-McMoRan have joined together to offer your Scouts the best opportunity to earn the Mining in Society Merit Badge.
 

Adults are REQUIRED to REGISTER for this MB clinic (at no cost) if attending.
 

When:  Saturday, January 12th from 8:00AM to 3:30PM

Buses will be transporting everyone over the Freeport-McMoRan mine. Individual access is not permitted at the mine site.  Please arrive early at the Community Performance & Arts Center to park your vehicle and load the bus.

Buses will be leaving at 8:00 a.m. SHARP – No exceptions for late arrivals.         

     

Where:

Parking to get on the bus for transport to the mine.

               1250 W. Continental Rd,

               Green Valley, AZ 85622

Buses leave promptly at 8:00 a.m.
 

Prerequisites:

Read the Mining in Society MB booklet (available at Scout Shop)
Bring Worksheet with the following items completed: Requirements 1a, 1b and 1c, and Requirements 7a, 7b, 7c or 7d
