Let's Go On Safari!

Get ready for an exciting jungle expedition for the entire family at R-C Scout Ranch!  Safari Camp is open to all family members - youth, siblings, parents, grandparents and relatives. Your family can explore Safari Camp and experience fun and interctive activities. We will offer exciting activities including archery, BB guns, slingshots, games, and much more. You can even take your family on a Horseback Trail ride crossing Christopher Creek! Families will have an opportunity to select their activities in the Spring.

We have a variety of lodging options available for families: rustic tents, family tents, and cabins. We will also have the R-C Trading Post with snacks, fun items and a limited number of Family Camp t-shirts. 

Horse Trail Rides
A variety of horses are brought to R-C each summer with the main focus of youth riders.  During each trail ride, depending on the size of the adults and availability of the horses will determine whether a horse is available for an adult. We do have a 220 lb. maximum weight limit for our riders. The safety of our riders and the well-being of our horses is always our priority. 

Summer Sessions
We offer three fun-filled sessions - 3 days of activities, 2 nights of camping and 7 meals.

o   Expedition 1 – Weekend Session | June 6 - June 8, 2025

o   Expedition 2 – Weekday Session | June 10 - June 12, 2025

o   Expedition 3 – Weekend Session | June 13 - 15, 2025

All youth must be accompanied by a parent or an adult family member (at least 21 years old) at all times. Young children are also welcome to attend with their families. There will be a Tot Lot available for younger children, who are potty trained, to have hands-on activity time while parents and older siblings attend activities during the day.

  Important Dates
  Register early! There are limited spaces, so don't delay.
  Be sure to register for the session your family wants.
  - Register by February 5th, 2025 to get a free camp t-shirt.
  - Early registration ends on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.

Payment Plans

Early Camp Rate
Register by Wednesday, February 5, 2025, for Early Camp Rate:
- $50 Deposit per personImportant Dates
- Free Camp T-Shirt for Youth 5+ and Adults
- $75 Payment per person due by Wednesday, April 2, 2025 (Note: Payment required to keep your Early Camp Rate.)
- Final Payment due by Wednesday, May 7, 2025
- Late Fee starts per person on Thursday, May 8, 2025, for registrations with unpaid balance.

Regular Camp Rate
Register on Thursday, February 6 through May 7, 2025, for Regular Camp Rate:
- $125 Deposit per person.
- Final Payment due by Wednesday, May 7, 2025
- Each participant must be paid in full by Wednesday, May 7, 2025
- Late Fee of $30 per person starts on May 8, 2025 for registrations with unpaid balance.

Last Chance for Camp
Register on Thursday, May 8 through Wednesday, May 21, 2025, for Last Chance for Camp:
- Entire Camp Fee due per person at registration.
- Registration closes on Wednesday, May 21, 2025

Payments are due by 11:59 p.m. on the “by date”.

To add participants or options to your registration:

Open the Grand Canyon Council (grandcanyoncouncil@247scouting.com) email you received for your reservation.  Within that confirmation email should be a link to "Click here to access registration". Click on that link and it will take you to your reservation.

Once you are in your registration, you can go to Additional Actions and then Add Participant or add options (early arrival, tents or cabin rental) by going to Registration Contact. Your reservation will add the new items to your Cart and you will need to Check-Out to finalize the transaction.
