Five Rivers Fall Camporee HEADLESS HORSEMAN 2026

Ride of the Headless Horseman Camp Maubila | October 23–25, 2026
This is a skills-based, story-driven camporee built around one idea:Daylight prepares the camp. Night tests it.
Patrols will train, build, navigate, and compete through structured daytime challenges designed to sharpen real Scout skills — leadership, first aid, pioneering, navigation, marksmanship, and teamwork under pressure.
Important Note:
There are no scheduled activities on Friday night, making this event ideal for Scouts involved in football, band, or other commitments. Arriving Saturday morning won’t put anyone behind — the only thing missed is informal patrol planning time, which can also be used to design and build creative campsite “haunted gateways.”
Saturday morning offers optional skill intensives in Orienteering and Pioneering. Patrols who attend may find themselves at a significant advantage later — especially after dark. Disclaimer- Saturday morning sessions require advance sign-up and reservation. This ensures proper staffing, materials, and course setup. Participation may provide a competitive advantage later in the event.
After sunset, the experience changes.
Competition officially begins Saturday mid-day.
