For Scouts BSA: At the STEM Merit Badge Fair, Scouts can earn their Merit Badges with Liberty Science Center’s experienced team, catch a movie in the planetarium, and enjoy general admission to see some of the exhibits! Parents & Siblings can purchase a general admission ticket at the reduced price below in order to enjoy the center while your Scout is in their session! Merit Badge session includes a movie in the planetarium at the designated time below after their class. 

Pricing & Sessions:

Scouts: $45 per session/badge

Siblings & Adult Chaperones: $25 general admission

MERIT BADGE OPTIONS (Note: ONLY ONE merit badge can be taken PER session):

MORNING SESSION : 10:30AM TO 12:00PM

1. Game Design:

PRE-REQUISITES: requirements 1, 2, and 8

2. Astronomy

PRE-REQUISITES: requirements 1, 5, 6, and 8e

3. Engineering

PRE-REQUISITES: requirements 2, 3, 5, 8, and 9

Planetarium show: 12:40pm 

AFTERNOON SESSION:  1:30 PM TO 3:00 PM

1. Chemistry

PRE-REQUISITES: requirements 1c, 1d, 4a, 4c, 5, 6a, 6d

2. Geology

PRE-REQUISITES: requirements 1, 2, 4b, scouts must bring 3 mineral/rock samples they collected, and bring a printed copy of 1 to 2 minute presentation on a state fossil of their choice.

3. Weather

PRE-REQUISITES: requirements 1, 2, 4, and 9a

Planetarium show at 3:25pm 

Important to note:

Sessions are limited to 25 Scouts in each class.

ALL PRE-REQUISITIES LISTED ABOVE MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO EVENT DATE.

ALL SCOUTS MUST BRING COMPLETED BLUE CARD SIGNED BY SCOUTMASTER WITH THEM TO THE EVENT.
