2016 Catholic Adventure Week

Event Details

Catholic Adventure Week is designed as a week of summer camp for youth members registered as Boy Scouts and co-ed Venturers of Catholic Faith. Morning activities include water skiing, rock climbing, rappelling, tubing, and biking. Afternoon activities include merit badge work, Kodiak Award program for any teen, and religious awards assistance.

There will be morning and evening prayer services, Mass and Reconciliation, Vesper service on a pontoon boat, and visits to Huck's Cove. The cost of the week-long program is $260 per Scout if paid before March 1.   The fee includes seventeen meals, lodging, cool t-shirt, cool patch, and program materials. All meals will be served in the dining hall. Scouts wishing to do the Voyageur program* (typically 1st year campers) or Shotgun Merit Badge there are additional fees $10-$40 paid at camp. Program packet materials will be sent out in May.

Merit badge offerings from the Swift Staff include Canoeing, Climbing, Horsemanship, Lifesaving,   Water Skiing, Rowing, Small Boat Sailing, Swimming, Rifle, & Shotgun.  We will be promoting other merit badges soon that Scout Leaders in camp can additionally offer.

Attend a week of Boy Scout Summer Camp or Venturing Camp and get a SECOND week at $160 ($100 savings) at one of the following camps: STEM camp, Eagle Trail Camp, and Catholic Adventure Week.

Scouts/Venturers can sign up individually and indicate if they need the Provisional Troop/Crew or if they will be attending with their Troop/Crew with adult leadership attending.

*Voyageur program involves first year camp Scouts learning basic Scout skills torward the first four ranks - Scout through First Class.  They also will work on Swimming and Woodcarving merit badges.
