Wood Badge is the ultimate in adult leader training in the Boy Scouts of America. You'll learn about the 5 pillars of Wood Badge:
* Leading to Make a Difference
* Living the Values
* Bringing the Vision to Life
* Models for Success
* Tools of the Trade
Instructors will draw upon the most current and cutting-edge training models of corporate America as well as stellar academic circles and outdoor leadership programs. Through presentations, discussions and activities that explore leadership philosophies, the staff will present the latest in leadership and team development strategies. You'll learn how to apply these skills in your current Scouting position. You will be able to use these lessons and experiences from Wood Badge outside of scouting to make every team a successful team, whether the team is at your work or is your family. Each session starts early on Friday morning and goes through early Sunday evening. A mid-month meeting date will be determined during the first week of the course. Because many of the activities are team-building exercises, leaving the camp during the sessions is highly discouraged and may disqualify you from completing the course.
