Council Training Committee Meeting

Event Details

The Council Training Committee Meeting serves as a gathering of key volunteer leaders and professional staff dedicated to supporting and advancing adult and youth training across the council. The purpose of the meeting is to coordinate training programs, ensure alignment with national standards, evaluate training needs, and promote leadership development throughout the Scouting community.

Committee members typically include the Council Training Chair, District Training Chairs, Wood Badge and NYLT coordinators, and representatives from key program areas (Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, etc.). During the meeting, the committee reviews upcoming training events, assesses the effectiveness of current training initiatives, discusses new training opportunities, and works collaboratively to resolve any challenges.

These meetings are vital to maintaining high-quality, consistent training that empowers leaders at every level to deliver a safe, enriching, and values-driven Scouting experience.
