Scouting’s Anniversary: Scout Shabbat
Event Details

Scout Sabbath, also known as Scout Shabbat, is a time for Jewish Scouts and leaders to celebrate the connection between faith and Scouting. It typically begins at sundown on the Friday before Scouting Anniversary Day and continues into Saturday. However, units may choose another date in February that best fits their schedule and the needs of their chartering organization.
Jewish Scouts are encouraged to attend Scout Sabbath services or their regular worship services in full field uniform. Scouts who have earned religious emblems are invited to wear them in recognition of their achievement.
Additional resources, including a sample service, are available from the National Jewish Committee on Scouting.
