Liberty in Action: 250th Anniversary Challenge Day

Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site

Come join Tipton-Haynes and The Kings Mountain Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution for a full day of activities to complete the Scouting America's Liberty in Action 250th Anniversary Challenge. Those who attend will be able to complete all requirements and be able to purchase the Liberty in Action Patch before they leave the site.

Scouts and Leaders are responsible for their own lunch. Participants are asked to bring notebook, pencil, work gloves, hand pruners for service project at the site. Participants who desire to purchase the Liberty in Action patch are asked to bring $5.

9:30-10:00am      Registration-Check In    

10:00-10:20         Orientation    

10:20-11:00         Skill or Game from 1700's    

11:00-12:30         Tour Tipton Haynes Historical Site    

12:30- 1:15          Lunch – scouts on their own   

1:15-2:00             Research Examples when Scouts supported National Spirit    

2:00-3:00            “Research” 3 famous Decl. of Independ. phrases    

3:00-4:00             Service Projects    

4:00-4:10             Purchase Patches & meet ride home
