Scouters - We need more trainers! 

Please consider becoming a Scout Trainer. 

Why: Every youth in a Scouting program needs and deserves a leader who understands the aims of the program and how to deliver it with enthusiasm and fun - in short, a TRAINED LEADER. Because they understand their role, trained leaders have a positive influence on the lives of youth. How well we influence the lives of youth depends on their leaders understanding of the program and their responsibilities. 

Who: Anyone can be an instructor - Scouts BSA has put together very extensive and simple syllabi for each course that are easy to follow. As an instructor you present the material and lead the discussion. It’s a chance to give back to Scouting and share your experience with others.   

Please attend the Fundamental of Training Course on January 20, 2024 at the Eugene Scout Service Center to start you journey to be an Scout Trainer. 

When:

Where: Eugene Scout Office 

Time: 8 am to 3 pm 

Cost: $5.00 

Lunch will be provided. 

All Scouters and Scouts (1st Class and above with Scoutmaster Recommendation) are welcome to attend.
