Scouters, IT’S TIME!

It’s time to start considering how we are going to support our units’ plans and budget for this program year. 

We are encouraging every unit to attend our Popcorn Kickoff on Saturday, August 4th, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. to learn about this years’ sale and the many great benefits it has to offer. Although Scouting is a less expensive program than competing activities, we recognize it still costs money.  This Kickoff is not a commitment to participate in the sale, but an opportunity to learn if it’s right for you or your Scouts.  We will outline all our selling options this year, including traditional methods like storefront and door to door sales, but also options like no paper forms, sell from the comfort and safety of your own home, never touch a single package of popcorn, and American Heroes donations!

Some things to consider:

This years’ popcorn sale runs from August 6 — October 31, but it’s really 365/24/7 now!

Product mix includes more than just popcorn!

Council is taking the lead on securing and managing Show and Sell booths for major businesses!

Although your unit may not be interested, you may have parents that would benefit from the sale.  You can make it optional for those that need it.  Let’s not say NO for someone else.

With so many ways to sell product this year, including selling through an app or online where the product gets shipped directly to the customer, there’s really no reason not to participate. Takes very little coordination from the unit with this method.

Attending the Kickoff does not commit your unit to participate.  It’s an informational meeting to show you how the Popcorn sale will look this year.  You can attend the Kickoff from your couch, via Zoom.

ALL UNITS THAT ATTEND THE KICKOFF RECEIVE AN ADDITIONAL COMMISSION PERCENTAGE TOWARDS YOUR SALE…AND WILL GET FIRST ACCESS TO THE SHOW AND SELL BOOTH REGISTRATION!!!
