WILDERNESS FIRST AID TRAINING APRIL 11-12, 2026 TWIN LAKES CAMP N7104 COUNTY ROAD K WAUPACA, WI 54981 Wilderness First Aid (WFA) training is being offered at Twin Lakes Camp! Instructor: Mr. Lawrence Ganske, Life Safety Resources Cost: $225/attendee. This covers course materials, instructor fee and four meals. Please make payment directly to Nick Paulick (contact info later). Venue: Nevitt Lodge (bunkhouse) and grass space nearby is available for sleeping. Nelson Lodge will be used for the coursework. Schedule: Attendees are welcome to arrive Friday evening. You are welcome to use bunkhouse or bring a tent. We will do some introductions and such Friday evening for those present. Class starts at 8am on Saturday and runs into the evening. Class resumes 8am Sunday until complete (~ noon). This is a 16-hour course. Food: Meals will be provided and prepared by volunteers. We ask participants to volunteer to cook and clean up for at least one meal. Notes on the class: 1. This course will follow the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) Wilderness First Aid program. This course is designed to meet/exceed the requirements of the BSA’s Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines, 2017 Edition. Acceptance at Philmont and Northern Tier has been confirmed. 2. The course enrollment size will be a maximum of 10, and a minimum of 6 attendees. Your fee includes the cost of all training materials and supplies to include the ASHI digital 2-year certification card, the WFA 149-page digital download and a printed copy of the student book.   3. It is preferred that attendees have recent CPR/AED certification. A skills challenge recertification can be offered if desired through the Health & Safety Institute (HSI) during the course. 4. ASHI/HSI course certification cards with digital student book download will be emailed to each attendee by the HSI Platform. What should I bring?  Bring whatever you would bring for a light weekend of cold weather indoor camping, including Health Forms Parts A & B. Showers MAY be available for us. Definitely include your mess kit (plate/bowl/cup/utensils). What will we be eating? A meal plan will be provided prior to the course. If you’re really motivated to bring/make something in particular, let us know! This is entirely volunteerrun, so you can help too!
