Oceanography Merit Badge Clinic            

Where:  UW Oshkosh-Fox Cities at 1478 Midway Road, Menasha.  Room 1065                                

When:  Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022; Gathering (9:00 am), start at (9:30 am); end at ~ 3:00 pm

Cost: $10.00/scout, adults free; Bring sack lunch & water bottle.  Attend in either Class A or B uniform.

This badge is an elective merit badge. Scouts should have and have read the current Boy Scout Oceanography Merit Badge pamphlet, which can be found at the Scout Shop or local libraries.  The scout should have completed as much of the Oceanography Merit Badge worksheet as possible and be ready to discuss it with the counselor.

Registration is cut off after 30 youth.  All Youth must complete the attached UW Oshkosh Consent Form upon arrival to the event.

Pre-Requisite:

#8a Write a 500-word report about oceanography (can be anything dealing with the oceans that you like);

OR

#8c Explain to your troop in a 5-minute prepared speech “Why Oceanography is Important” or describe “Career Opportunities in Oceanography.”
