This badge is a Scouts, BSA elective merit badge. Scouts are expected to have read the current Scouts, BSA Crime Prevention Merit Badge pamphlet ahead of time. This can be found at the Scout Shop or local libraries. To be able to complete this badge at this clinic, scouts MUST complete the requirements listed below BEFOREHAND and come prepared! Scouts are encouraged to print off a copy of the attached workbook and use the home security checklist at the end of the workbook when completing requirement #4b.

Scouts will need to bring a blue merit badge card properly filled out & signed by their unit leader, something to write with, their printed copy of the workbook & a willingness to learn. Scouts that do not come prepared will walk away with partials.  

Requirements to complete beforehand: #2, 4a, 4b, and 9d. Be prepared to discuss these.
