Event Details
Two Courses, One Weekend!

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS)
Boy Scout Leader Specific Training (Scoutmaster Fundamentals)

Course begins Friday, April 17th at 6:00pm and the training concludes Sunday, April 19th at 2:00pm

Scoutmaster Fundamentals:
This 8-hour course addresses the needs of adults who accept the responsibility of delivering the Scouting program to youth by serving as Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters. For many, this will be an introduction to the rewards and challenges of troop leadership. Others may have held leadership positions in Cub Scouting, Venturing, or on a troop, district, or council committees, and have come to the training well versed in what Scouting has to offer.
The sessions of Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training are thorough, comprehensive, and fun. Participants will discover the essentials of their leadership positions and realize that they can easily become successful Scout Leaders. Discussions, group activities, and video clips keep the sessions lively and create a fellowship of learning.

Outdoor Skills: This training allows leaders to learn all the outdoor skills a boy must learn while earning the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class.  The training is therefore held in an outdoor setting where participants can experience and practice these skills first-hand.
