Help represent local Scouting in the 2023 Monongalia County Fair Parade!

Monday, July 31, 2023 6:30 PM - lineup (downtown location to be announced) 7:30 PM - parade start time

The best option is for parents to park somewhere downtown and then to walk their Scout up to the line up area.  Parents will NOT be able to drive to the line-up area as the roads will be blocked. 

Parents should plan to meet their Scout at the bottom of High Street when the Scouts reach that point during the parade. If Scouts are being dropped off to the lineup location,  and the parents are going to go watch the parade, supervision is required by either their Scout leader or a Council volunteer. Scouts will march together as the Mountaineer Area Council, and all Scouts are welcome to participate. The exact location in the parade line-up is unknown. 

• Scouts should wear field ("class A") uniforms.
• If units are attending together, it is encouraged for them to bring their unit flag or banner to carry. They can also bring their unit American flag to carry. Units are encouraged to submit ONE registration. 
• Candy and flyers are NOT permitted to be handed out.
