Distinguished Citizens Dinner

The Distinguished Citizens Dinner is the showcase fundraising event for the Mountaineer Area Council to support all Scouting programs in North Central West Virginia and recognize those in the community who exemplify the spirit of the Scout Oath and Scout Law in their everyday life.  Past individual honorees include George R. Farmer Jr., E. Gordon Gee, David C. Hardesty Jr., Bob Huggins, Hershel "Woody" Williams, David Alvarez, Steptoe & Johnson PLLC, Ben Hardesty, Mon Health System, Amy Bush, and Antero Resources..

The 2023 event will honor a business as well as an individual.  Additional presentations will include recognition of the Elbert K. Fretwell Outstanding Educator Awards to educators to be announced at a later date.  Click here for nomination form, due September 30, 2023.
