INTRODUCTION

Life Scouts whom have completed ALL rank requirements to become an Eagle Scout must successfully complete an Eagle Scout Board of Review (BOR).

OVERVIEW

Your Eagle Scout BOR will be comprised of three (3) to six (6) adults who hold positions in the District (Red River and/or Greenbelt), Council, Unit, or local community. 

The Eagle Scout BOR is NOT a test of your Scouting knowledge, but rather an opportunity to assess your Scouting experiences to assess how Scouting has better prepared you for life and the impact it has made on your life up until this point  

The Eagle Scout BOR typically last 30-45 minutes. 

WHAT TO BRING

Please ensure you have the following items prepared to present at your Eagle Scout BOR:

1. Scouts BSA Handbook (please ensure it is filled out and signed to reflect completion of the Scout through Life ranks); and 

2. Scouts BSA Advancement Form (can be obtained from your Unit Advancement Chair).

WHAT TO WEAR

Scouts sitting for their Eagle Scout BOR should be dressed in their complete Scouts BSA Uniform to include:

1. Scouts BSA Uniform Shirt (clean);

2. Scouts BSA Uniform Pants (clean);

3. Scouts BSA Uniform Socks (clean);

4. Scouts BSA Uniform Belt or equivalent (leather Philmont belt or Scouting-related belt from other High Adventure and/or Scout Camp is acceptable);

5. Merit badge sash; and 

6. Neckerchief (if worn by your unit / not required).

Please do NOT wear your Order of the Arrow (OA) sash; this is not an OA event.
