Emergency Action Plan Meeting

Event Details

Are you prepared?

Capitol Area Council (CAC) is focused on youth safety and creating and maintaining the safest possible environment for our Scouts. Do you know what to do if you were attending an event at Lost Pines Scout Reservation and a wildfire threatened the camp? We want you to know what to do in emergency situations when on all seven of our properties. The Emergency Action Plan for CAC Camps has all the information you need.

Emergency Action Plan (EAP)

The EAP is designed to minimize injury and loss of life and resources by training staff, participants, visitors, and campers, procuring and maintaining necessary equipment, and assigning responsibilities. The EAP represents a complete assessment of risks to staff, participants, and campers and serves as a written guide for emergency procedures used to address those risks.

The objective of the CAC EAP is to comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Emergency Action Plan Standard, and Fire Prevention Plan, as well as to comply with the National Camp Accreditation Program (NCAP) of Scouting America.

Come learn about the EAP and bring your questions!  Join us on February 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., to learn more about the EAP and ensure you are helping provide the safest environment possible for our Scouts.
