This is to confirm the rumors - Velda Howard is retiring on October 31st!! Velda has been an incredible employee of the Indian Waters Council for twenty years, including the last several also serving the national council of the BSA in our Scout Shop.  Velda is well known and beloved as the backbone of our staff who gives incredible behind-the-scenes tireless work for our volunteers and Scouts. She was a long-time volunteer long before, during and - we hope - after her employment with the council. 

Please join us as we celebrate Velda's retirement with a DROP-IN reception on Thursday, October 25th, 5:00-6:30 PM (with brief program at 6:00 PM) at the George C. Fant Scout Service Center, 715 Betsy Drive, Columbia, SC. No response necessary - please just drop-in!
