Chicago Thanksgiving Parade
Scouting America at the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade
Pathway to Adventure Council Scouts and Scouters are invited to participate in the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade! Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA youth, Venturers, Explorers and Sea Scouts will march in formation in front of a Scouting America float. Float riders are by invitation only.

State Street, from Ida B. Wells to Randolph, Chicago, Illinois
Scouts will report at 7:00 am (location TBD). The parade runs from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. CST and will be broadcast live on Pluto TV.

Uniform: All participants, including adult leaders and parents, must be in a full uniform and prepared for cold weather. Scouting uniform includes pants, shirt, and hat specific to the program (Cub Scouting, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, Exploring). Please let us know if you need assistance with any uniform component. Weather dependent, participants must have gloves! Consider earmuffs and hand warmers. Wear hiking boots or warm, comfortable shoes for walking. Prepare with layers and a jacket.
Flags: We are asking Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts, and Explorer units to provide a flag bearer with flag holder, one other marcher, and two adults to complete Sareguarding Youth requirements; and their Scout BSA flag. Additional Scouts BSA youth and adults may participate and march behind the flags. Scouts BSA participants may carry Cub Scout flags from their associated packs.
