Scout Shabbat
Event Details

Shabbat is a festive day when Jews exercise their freedom from the regular labours of everyday life. It offers an opportunity to contemplate the spiritual aspects of life and to spend time with family. Scout Sabbath, alongside Scout Sunday, is meant to mark the founding of the Scouts in the United States. Scouting has been included by churches, temples, synagogues, and many other religious organizations as part of their youth ministries. These observances offer an opportunity for congregations to honor Scouts and Scouters, as well as to learn more themselves and about the value of Scouting as a youth program.
