Scouting for Food — 2025

Great Falls Council, Scouting America is proud to continue Scouting for Food in association with Tops Markets to benefit local food pantries. This area-wide food drive will support agencies that provide food to those in need in 14 counties from Western to South and Central New York and North Central Pennsylvania.

The 2025 campaign begins March 29, Scouts go door-to-door distributing mini-fliers, notifying the community of our campaign. On Saturday April 5, Scouts return to those neighborhoods to collect the bags filled with food donations.

There will also be an in-store option for Scout units to participate on April 5, when Scout units can sign up for a three-hour shift, morning or afternoon, to hand out fliers to Tops patrons as they enter the store and collect donations as they depart the store. Scouts can deliver the donations to the local food pantry or food bank of their choice.

Registration to sign up for a Tops location near you opens February 5 and closes March 22.

Units may select one or both options — neighborhood pickup or in-store collection. They may also choose to schedule their neighborhood collection for a time that works best for them.
