NWI Investment in Character Dinner

Event Details

Please join us for our first annual Investment In Character Dinner! All proceeds support scouting in your local Iowa communities. Doors will open at 5pm, to allow for participation in activities provided from our Invention Scout team, as well as fellowship among attendees and Scouting leadership. Keynote Speaker: Dr. Matthew Bentz is an Emergency Medicine resident in Des Moines, an Eagle Scout, and a former member of Troop 108 in Humboldt. A lifelong believer in servant leadership, Matthew credits his upbringing in Scouting for the discipline and resilience he brings to the ER every day. In his keynote, From Blue Cards to Code Blue, Dr. Bentz examines why "doing" is the most essential part of learning. He reflects on how the merit badge system builds a mindset of lifelong learning. Shifting the focus from mere participation to the practical application of new skills. For Matthew, the value of Scouting isn't found in a signature in a book, but in the ability to turn a once unknown topic into an actionable skill when it matters most. Don't miss out on an engaging evening of Scout Stories and an opportunity to "Fuel Tomorrow's Leaders"! Register at https://investment-in-characterluncheon.causevox.com/

Reception is FREE to attend, with a suggested donation of $200 per guest.
