Cub Scout Leader Specific Training

Cub Scout Leader Specific Training is designed to provide adult leaders with the basic information and skills needed to successfully carry out the responsibilities of their registered position. This position‑based training introduces the aims and methods of Cub Scouting and explains how the program is delivered through age‑appropriate adventures, meetings, and activities.
The course covers key elements of the Cub Scout program, including pack and den structure, advancement, uniforms, meeting planning, and working with families. Separate modules address the unique roles of Den Leaders, Cubmasters, and Pack Committee members, helping leaders understand how their position fits into the overall success of the pack.
Cub Scout Leader Specific Training is an essential step toward being considered “trained” for a Cub Scout leadership position and helps ensure that all Cub Scouts receive a fun, consistent, and meaningful Scouting experience led by prepared and confident adults.
Training typically available is:
- Den Leader
- Committee Member
- Cub Master
- Committee Chair
Note: To receive credit for this training, please stay online for the entire session. We also ask that participants keep their cameras on and remain visible using a live video feed throughout the training. Thank you for helping us ensure everyone gets the full benefit of the course!
