Fishers of Men Duty to God Event

Event Details

Come out to fish at the lake at Mundelein Seminary, the University of St. Mary of the Lake. The lake is open to Scouts to fish it just ONCE a year. This is it for 2024. Just look at what you can catch in this lake: Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Black Crappie, Carp, Channel Catfish, Grass Carp, Yellow Perch, Bluegill Hybrid, Golden Shiner, and Yellow Bullhead.

All fishing is catch and release. No fishing license is required. Bring your own pole, equipment, and bait. All Scouts should wear their BSA uniform shirt, wear your class-B scout t-shirt under your field uniform shirt. Bring your lunch, drinking water, and other refreshments as needed. Don’t forget your hat, chair, sunscreen and anything else needed for the weather (hot or cold, dry or wet).

Registration is just $7.00 and includes a free patch.

The event runs from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, with group lunch, seminarian talk, and a chapel tour running from 12 noon to about 1:30 pm.
