The Aloha Council GAPS Committee is proud to bring Mental Health First Aid training to our Scouting community.
Mental Health First Aid teaches participants how to recognize the signs and symptoms of common mental health and substance-use challenges, respond with confidence, and connect individuals with appropriate support and professional resources.
Just as CPR prepares someone to assist during a physical health emergency, Mental Health First Aid provides practical tools for offering initial support to someone experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis.
This training is valuable for unit leaders, commissioners, committee members, parents, volunteers, and anyone committed to creating a safer and more supportive environment for every Scout and Scouter.
