Pirates of Pupukea: Return of the Shipwrecked

The storm may have scattered our fleet last spring—but true Scouts never abandon ship. This fall, the crew regathers for a triumphant return to the cliffs of Pupukea as Pirates of Pupukea sails again for an even bolder weekend of high-seas adventure.

Whether your patrol was ready to claim treasure before the winds rolled in or you’re joining the voyage for the first time, this is your chance to step back aboard and prove your crew’s skill, spirit, and seaworthiness. The maps are back in hand. The signal fires are lit. The challenge stations await.

What Awaits Your Crew

Patrols will rotate through pirate-themed challenges designed to test teamwork, leadership, and classic Scouting skills:

Navigate by compass and stars across uncharted waters

Lash together ship’s rigging in pioneering challenges

Respond to a fast-paced “Man Overboard” rescue scenario

Crack hidden codes through signaling and communication tests

Follow clues in a council-wide treasure hunt across camp

Each station earns points toward camporee honors—so gather your sharpest navigators, strongest riggers, and cleverest codebreakers.

Cast Iron Chef: Pirate’s Galley Edition
Bring your finest ship’s cook and compete for culinary glory on the open fire.

Campfire Under the Jolly Roger
Songs, skits, laughter, and stories beneath the stars overlooking the North Shore—exactly the way a proper pirate gathering should end the day.

This isn’t just a reschedule. It’s a second chance at adventure—and a chance for every crew to finish the voyage they started.
