We are excited to invite you to support Aloha Council at our upcoming HI5 Recycling Collection Event on Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm at the Aloha Council office parking lot.

This Friends of Scouting community fundraiser is one of the few events where we truly depend on unit participation to make it successful. We work hard to keep Community Friends of Scouting efforts from adding extra work to units whenever possible. However, this recycling drive only works if our units step in to help with collection, sorting, and transport. We simply cannot do this event without you.

Units are encouraged to start collecting HI5-eligible soda cans, water bottles, and other recyclable beverage containers now. Pre-collecting items as a unit makes a huge difference and allows families to participate even if they cannot attend in person.

What: Aloha Council Cans and Bottles Recycling Drive
When: Sunday, April 26, 2026, 9:00 am to 1:30 pm
Where: Aloha Council Parking Lot
Bring: HI5 recyclable cans and bottles in trash bags

We need volunteers from across Oahu to help run the event:

Shift 1: 8:00 am – 11:00 am
Setup, collection support, and transport

Shift 2: 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Collection support, transport, and cleanup

We are looking for about 15 volunteers per shift plus several drivers who can help transport recyclables. This is a great opportunity for Scouts to contribute service hours and support Scouting locally.
