Boy Scouts or Venturing Crew members wishing to become den chiefs will take this course as part of their training to become a den chief. The class will identify the den chief responsibilities and tasks, describes the den chief's relationship to the adult den leaders and how that relates to the den chief's activities with the den. After finishing the training, den chief candidates will be able to serve a den with a local area pack.

The cost of this course is free. To take part in this training, you must complete the Den Chief online training course before coming to this class. Please print out the certificate when you complete this training and bring this to the class as proof of meeting this requirement.

All scouts must have a copy of the Den Chief Handbook. Copies will be available at the start of the training at a cost of $7 each (cash only please). Please email in advance if you need to purchase a copy. Copies can also be purchased at the Scout Shop or online at ScoutStuff.org.

There is no cost to attend this training, must the scouts must have permission from their scoutmaster to take this course. Lunch is not provided, however we will be looking into splitting the cost of a pizza if there is enough interest. Scouts are welcome to bring a bag lunch and drink.
