Troop Service Opportunity: Fire Revegetation

Help restore one of Arizona's greatest treasures.

On October 9–11, 2026, Scouts BSA troops are invited to join the Kaibab National Forest in restoring areas impacted by the Dragon Bravo Fire on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Scouts will plant native saplings in and around Dragon Canyon, helping revegetate the forest while participating in a meaningful conservation service project. This is a unique opportunity to leave a lasting legacy in one of our nation's most iconic landscapes while fulfilling Scouting's commitment to conservation and service.

Camping: Free camping will be available at Jacob Lake Campground. Troops should plan to provide their own meals.
