Flag Placement Before Memorial Day at VA Cemetery

Flag Placement Before Memorial Day at VA Cemetery
When: Saturday, May 25, 2024 - 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
Please arrive by 6:45. The Opening Ceremony begins at center stage at 7:00 AM.
Location: VA National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ, 85024
Join Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops and their families from all over the metro area in placing flags of the Unites States at each soldier's grave in the National Memorial Cemetary of Arizona. Seeing the flags across the cemetery is a magnificent sight to see as we recognize the sacrifices these soldiers made for freedom throughout the world.
Please wear a Field Uniform (Class A) and bring a filled water bottle. Parents, siblings, and friends are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue apparel with your Pack/Troops t-shirt.
Families are welcome!
We recommend bringing a battery-operated drill with a 3/8" - 1/2" masonry drill bit that is at least 6" long to enable the flags to be placed in the ground.
**Be sure to come back with your Pack or Troop on Saturday. June 1 at 7:00 AM to help sort and roll the flags to prepare them for next year! See the council calendar for specific location and details!
