The 25th WORLD SCOUT JAMBOREE will be held in SaeManGeum, South Korea, August 1-12, 2023. For those of us in the Far East Council, this is only a short flight from most areas in Asia. Think of how lucky you are as a Scouter to have the World Scout Jamboree in your backyard!!  Don’t miss out on this life changing experience. The WSJ has allowed a contingent of 65 Scouts and 8 Adult leaders to attend from the Far East Council. The cost will be $1,500 per person and includes transportation from Seoul-Incheon International Airport, South Korea, to the WSJ Site and back, all meals, and a lifetime of memories. This event is open to youth between the ages of 14 and 17, and only Scouts can participate. You must be age 14 by August 1st, 2023.  If you turn 18 during the event, you can still attend as a youth.  If you turn age 18 on or prior to July 31st, 2023, you will need to sign up as an adult. Adult leader slots are controlled at the Council level. If interested in attending as an adult, please contact Nicholas Pollacia, Npollacia@gmail.com and Frank Paolo, Francesco.Paolo@Scouting.Org, as we will have limited adult slots and must coordinate our appropriate male to female leader ratio. Note that visitor day passes will be available for purchase through the Korean Scouting Association website for anyone looking to attend Jamboree events without camping overnight. Details for day passes will be sent later this year.  SIGN UPS MUST BE COMPLETED BY 30 SEPTEMBER 2022.  A NONREFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $300 IS PART OF THE INITIAL REGISTRATION.  Your "spot" can be transferred along with the deposit to another eligible Scout if you cannot attend.  Attendee cost does not include airfare.
